Will it work with my existing cameras?
Very likely. Woodcock AI works with most ONVIF and RTSP IP cameras and many legacy DVR and NVR systems. Any ONVIF or RTSP camera or recorder typically connects by entering its username and password. If your cameras are on a closed manufacturer system, we can advise on a compatible upgrade.
What can Woodcock AI detect?
Smoke and fire, intrusion and people, vehicles, safety modules such as PPE detection, where supported, confirmed in your site assessment, and plain-English descriptions of what each camera sees.
Edge or cloud: which do I need?
The edge server processes video on your local network, responds within seconds, keeps footage on site and works without internet. The Woodcock AI Cloud needs no NVR and gives you central monitoring, remote management and 60-day cloud recording. Sites on restricted 4G or 5G connections usually suit the on-site unit.
How quickly are alerts sent, and how?
Within seconds. Alerts go out by push notification and email, each with the video clip and a plain-English description. Alerts to a monitoring centre (ARC) and phone-call alerts are available as optional add-ons. You can set polygon detection zones and alert schedules for each camera.
Does it replace our certified fire alarm?
No. Woodcock AI adds a visual early-warning layer to your CCTV. It complements, and does not replace, certified fire detection systems or statutory health and safety procedures.
What happens in the free site assessment?
We review your CCTV system and the risks on your site, then tell you honestly which detections will work on which cameras and how we would set them up, with no obligation.
